Concert: Clarone Clarinet Quartet
November 3, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Clarone Clarinet Quartet will perform an eclectic program of classical music featuring works by the three Bs — Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms — as well as pieces by 20th-21st century composers Astor Piazzolla, Bela Bartok, and Armando Ghidoni.
The ensemble members are Stephen Bates, bass clarinet; Chester Brezniak, soprano clarinet; Karen Luttik, bass clarinet; and Julie Stuckenschneider, soprano clarinet. All are highly regarded as both musicians and teachers and have performed in orchestras and chamber groups around the globe. The range of voices of the four clarinets allows the group to play works written for orchestra, string quartet and piano which have been transcribed and arranged by various composers for the quartet.
$20 per ticket for adults; children and youth under 18 accompanied by a parent are free. Doors open at 7 p.m. The concert begins at 7:30. Refreshments will be available during the intermission. All proceeds will benefit Theodore Parker Church.
