True Stories About Race
February 17, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
Our continuing series in partnership with Temple Hillel B’nai Torah, “True Stories about Race,” urges us to share stories that have moved us, as stories bring about the possibility of reconciliation through the creation of empathy. In a series of monthly sessions, we seek out, share, and listen to true stories of what it means, or has meant, to be black or brown in America. The format is a discussion based on stories that have moved us personally, facilitated by Josh Frank, a former teacher and administrator in racially diverse school districts and a member of a local synagogue. The series meets on the third Saturday of the month from 4 to 5:15 p.m. in the parlor. The next session is February 17; no RSVP or preparation necessary. If you have questions, contact Mark Bauer or Josh Frank.
