Endowment and Planned Giving
Leaving a Lasting Legacy: The Fourth Century Circle
Members and supporters of Theodore Parker Church give generously to underwrite its annual operating expenses.
In the long term, however, more funds will be needed to keep the church facilities operating at their full potential. One way of addressing this issue is to build the cash reserves and endowment which will generate future income to help cover expenses. To that end, the church has established the Fourth Century Circle to recognize those who have made plans to provide for a future gift to the church. Three common ways for making such gifts are:
- Bequeathing a gift in a will or trust
- Designating the church as beneficiary of an IRA or another retirement fund
- Designating the church as beneficiary of an insurance policy
Such gifts can help assure that the church will continue to play a positive role for generations to come—offering a progressive religious perspective, supporting the spiritual development of the congregation, and actively engaging in social action that benefits the local community and the wider world.
We welcome all members and friends to join the Fourth Century Circle by including a bequest or other planned gift to benefit the future of the Theodore Parker Church in their estate plans. To discuss your bequest or other testamentary gift, contact Mark Ferrenz, Finance Committee chair.
