After our summer break, we reopen our doors and welcome old and new friends for the new church year. Rev. Phyllis B. O’Connell’s sermon topic is “A Matter of Habit.” How much of our days — in fact, our lives — is driven or steered by habits? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Or does it all depend on the habits we have? Habits: a taken-for-granted subject worth exploring at the start of a new year.
Bring a small memento from the summer to place on the communal table. Children begin the morning in the sanctuary and then go to a special event in parish hall with director of religious exploration Jo Murphy and their teachers.
