Helen Horigan is coordinating four lay-led evening vespers services this summer. As a theme, Helen is thinking about our great covenant: “Love is the spirit of this church and service is its prayer… to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another.”
How do you/we keep that alive in daily life? What regular or irregular practices in your daily life nurture your sense of belonging, connection? How do you sustain your own great covenant of love and service? What connects you to that which is larger/greater? What sustains the service you do? What forms do “prayer” and/or “meditation” take for you? As Rumi purportedly wrote: “There are many ways to kneel and kiss the ground.”
What might you like to share with us? Please contact Helen by email, helenhorigan@yahoo.com, or phone, 617-699-4309.
We will gather in the parish hall parlor. Vespers will be in-person only.
