As the recent string of violent deaths of African Americans has many of us wondering what is going on in our society and what we can do about it, the Rev. Anne Bancroft commends the healing powers of awareness, reflection, and hope, and suggests that, as we head into the summer break in the church year, we give love a central place on our summer list, because love is what brings us home and makes the sun to shine for the whole world’s joy.
