Join congregation member, Ruth Kahn, as she shares a spiritual odyssey of learning. We’ll consider ideas about times of healing, about finding unexpected sacred space, and about discovering the story of people compelled to reinvent themselves. While coping with the loss of her beloved husband, Ruth discovered the magic of place in New Mexico, and the amazing story of Crypto-Jews (crypto is Greek for “hidden”) forced to convert to Catholicism during the painful expulsions from Spain in the 1500’s. Raised a secular Jew in New York and New England, Ruth found resonance with their stories. Her journey encourages us to imagine our own.
